Wish You WereQueer follows Michael and Tim, two ‘gay-famous’ best friends and content creators, as they journey across the USA to explore LGBTQ+ life beyond theirWest Hollywood bubble. With one outrageous goal in mind – to convince drag superstar Trixie Mattel to produce their stand-up comedy special – Tim andMichael bring viewers along for an unforgettable adventure through small towns, big laughs, and real stories. Trixie Mattel also features as Tim and Michael’s mentor and unlikely fairy drag-mother, who has the potential to change their lives if they play their cards right. From quirky local encounters to heartfelt community conversations, the series dives into how LGBTQ+ culture thrives (and survives) in America’s heartland. It’s comedy, it’s connection, and it’s queer to the core.
